Sean Payton, head coach of the Denver Broncos, should dress up as the Grinch for the Christmas Day matchup between his team and the Kansas City Chiefs according to former NFL player, Mark Schlereth. Schlereth, on the ‘Stinkin’ Truth’ podcast, revealed as to how well he expects the Denver Broncos to perform in the upcoming NFL season, especially against their AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs.
Sean Payton took over as head coach for the Denver Broncos in the 2023 season. This was his first gig as head coach after working with numerous NFL and college football teams in various capacities other than HC. Payton also played in the NFL for the Chicago Bears back in 1987.
“It would not surprise me. As a matter of fact, I’m expecting it. … You’ve addressed the running game; you’ve addressed the tight end; you’ve got Evan Engram off free agency, like you’ve addressed your defense. I fully expect Broncos on Christmas Night to just absolutely ruin the hopes and dreams of Kansas City Chiefs fans. I would love to see Sean Patyon dress up as the Grinch, and come out on the sideline in a Grinch outfit … and steal the hopes and dreams of the Christmas little children there in Kansas City.” Mark Schlereth said about Sean Payton’s Denver Broncos hopefully defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in their scheduled matchup on Christmas Day.
Love this from @markschlereth!!

While Sean Payton’s Denver Broncos could not make it past the wild card round in the previous NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs made it all the way to the Super Bowl where they took on the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs were indeed hoping to score a three-peat. But, these dreams were dashed when the Eagles defeated them and lifted the Super Bowl trophy.
