The 45-year-old head coach spoke to the media on Wednesday for the first time since losing to his biggest rival and stated he expects to be back at Ohio State next year.

The Buckeyes are in a complicated situation because Day is winning many games, but he is losing to Michigan and still making the playoffs.
Many programs would love to be in Ohio State’s position of being a title contender each season, and if Day gets let go, there is a chance the program could take a step back and lose to Michigan and also not make the playoffs.
Ryan Day might have to put together a run in the college football playoffs if he wants to keep his job. If he doesn’t get past the second round with this roster, then there is a good chance he won’t be on the sidelines in 2025.
Day should be coaching for this job this postseason, and many fans only want him to stay if he wins it all, which will be difficult.
