Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been a hot topic all over the league recently after his letter to the New York Jets. After receiving a lot of backlash for the letter, Kaepernick was given an opportunity by the XFL after meeting with owner Dwayne Johnson but ultimately turned down the offer. But now a new NFL team seems like it can be in the mix to have an interest in bringing in the former quarterback after Kaepernick was spotted with Las Vegas Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan.

Colin Kaepernick Frustrations With NFL
If the Raiders were to bring Kaepernick aboard, it would shock the entire NFL world as Las Vegas already has their solidified starter in Jimmy Garoppolo. This would not be the first time the former quarterback has met with the Raiders about joining the team. Las Vegas ultimately passed up on the previous offer from Kaepernick to play for them, and Kaepernick expressed his frustration with the situation.
Kaepernick on July first of this year told reporters, “I’ve heard a lot of excuses over the years, but most of the time it ends up, ‘Oh, we’re going to see how the guys that we have do.’ With the Raiders’ situation last year, that was Stidham and Nick Mullens, which to me, you just compare résumés and capabilities, on top of the workout and the feedback, it’s like, ‘O.K., cool.'”
He continued to defend himself by saying, “Obviously, there’s something else within this decision. To me, that’s typically what it ends up being, or has been for the last seven years. So, I just want the opportunity to come in, show what I can do on the field. Judge me based upon that, not the political bias that you have.”
Window is Closing
The former quarterback has received a ton of criticism from the NFL world after comparing the NFL Draft to slavery. It is very hypocritical of him to say something like that, and then go and try getting back into the league.
This meeting with the Raiders’ President has no further reports of what was discussed , and will be updated throughout the season. Kaepernick is already 35 years old and is aware that his window to rejoin the NFL is closing quickly. The Raiders passed up on him before, but can they give him another shot?
