With Arkansas Razorback Taurean Carter cleared to return to the football field, as he announced yesterday on Twitter, the team can expect a much-needed boost on the defensive line.

Today is one of the best days of my life I AM CLEARED!!! Thankful for the man above and my friends and family. President Carter has returned let’s work.

After reading the tweet, one can see that he is grateful to have another opportunity to play the game he loves. He expressed praise to God for making his healing possible. Carter is poised to make significant contributions along the Arkansas Razorback defensive line. The Razorbacks’ defense must be fully healthy to improve its performance dramatically from last season.

Even though the Razorback secondary has received the most criticism of any unit on the team, and the secondary deserves such criticism, I assert that the defensive line needs to do a better job of stopping the run and generating a pass rush. Carter can help the defensive line do a better job of both.

Almost 11 months ago, Taurean Carter tore his ACL, according to Trey Biddy at Hawg Sports. Due to his injury and the pandemic, Carter has three years of eligibility.

As I have explained, Arkansas needs a strong, athletic, and talented offensive and defensive line to succeed in the SEC. With a 6’3 and 305-pound frame, Taurean Carter has the necessary size to compete against the massive offensive linemen he will face in conference play. Due to injury, Carter has limited statistics, but he played 17 games, made 35 total tackles, generated three tackles for loss, one sack, and has two passes defended, according to Sports Reference.

Again, with the news of Arkansas Razorback Taurean Carter cleared to play football, Razorback Nation can expect him to play with renewed passion, given the significant work he has devoted to recovering from a torn ACL. Taurean Carter, Razorback Nation is happy that you are healthy and can display your talent again on the football field.
