The Pittsburgh Steelers made several trades before and during the 2024 campaign in hopes of improving the team’s chances of making a Super Bowl run.
Before the draft, the Steelers traded for Justin Fields from the Chicago Bears. Fields went 4-2 in Pittsburgh’s first six games before Russell Wilson replaced him after the veteran quarterback recovered from a calf injury. The Steelers are deciding if they want to re-sign Fields or Wilson for 2025.
The Pittsburgh Steelers made a couple trades

During the season, Pittsburgh traded for two veterans, wide receiver Mike Williams and linebacker Preston Smith.
The moves helped the Steelers to reach the playoffs with a 10-7 record before losing 28-14 to the Baltimore Ravens in front of 70,546 fans at M&T Bank Stadium.
