Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed has been dealing with a foot injury throughout training camp. He is expected to be one of the starting wide receivers as the 2025 season approaches.

Green Bay will be facing the Detroit Lions in Week 1 at home. Reed was back at practice on Wednesday despite dealing with his foot injury. With this being the case, will this foot injury linger for him all season long or not?
Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Jayden Reed Expected To Play Through Brutal Injury Throughout the Season

There is an interesting report coming out from Green Bay about Reed’s foot injury. Easton Butler covers the Packers for Packerreport66 and said,
“Update: WR Jayden Reed’s injury is a Jones fracture, per
. For more clarification, its a break in his fifth metatarsal, the bone that joins the pinkie toe to the base of the foot. Often, a Jones fracture can require surgery and months to recover, but Reed isn’t going the surgery route and instead plans to play Week 1 on it.”
Had he opted for surgery, he would have missed the next few months and would have been lost for most of the season. Instead, Reed wants to play through the pain and make an impact for the Packers. During the 2024 season, he caught 55 passes for 857 yards and six touchdowns, along with averaging 15.6 yards per reception. Reed was also targeted 75 times.
Reed, Romeo Doubs, and Matthew Golden (rookie) is projected to be the starting wide receiving core for the matchup against the Lions. It will be impressive if he can play the entire season through this foot injury.
