“Other People Have Other Issues In Life”: Chris Grier Reveals Dolphins Fans Sent Sick Emails Wishing Death On His Kids After Tough Season

The Miami Dolphins had a disappointing 2024-25 season, and manager Chris Grier was under fire for their poor performance. The Dolphins are expected to have a better season this time. However, manager Grier expressed his frustration after receiving horrible emails from angry fans.

Some fans went to the extent of abusing him and saying that his kids would die of cancer. It was a horrific moment for Chris Grier, but the manager took it all with a pinch of salt. Grier started by saying that he never took things personally.

“I’m frustrated like [them] that we didn’t win enough games last year,” Grier said. “I understand that, I don’t take things personally. When I’m out, people have generally been very positive and stuff to me.”

While Chris Grier might have struggled to lead his team to the playoffs, it was also worth noting that the team struggled with injuries. Despite finishing second in the AFC East, their 8-9 record was not enough to make the playoffs.

Chris Grier Says He’s Seen A Shift In Strategy With The Dolphins

Over the years, Chris Grier has been trying to make things better. The Dolphins were out of the playoffs for the first time in three years. Grier wants to win and he’s seen some improvement already in the OTAs.

“We saw it from day one in OTAs, the offensive and defensive groups would stay out on the field on their own, which I’ve never seen here in years, for like an hour afterwards, as a group, by themselves, on their own time, walking through stuff. Going through, holding each other accountable, the stuff you saw in the joint practices of our guys getting on each other about competing, that hadn’t happened here in years,” Chris Grier said.

“So it’s a it’s a different mindset, you know, led by Mike that we talked about right from that last team meeting at the end of last season, when he told them what it was going to be…when you bring in so many new players that have been star players at other places, and you work through it — you have your expectations, but you’re winning. But you look at it and say ‘Hey, I don’t know if we’re winning the right way.’ …that’s kind of what it was,” Grier continued.

The Dolphins manager feels this is the perfect time for the team to build their strategy and win. With the pressure rising, he feels that the Dolphins could do their best in the upcoming season.
