On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed a former Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans defender ahead of mandatory OTAs in June. The Steelers are trying to boost their defensive secondary before training camp this summer. They added to their need at wide receiver on Monday.

The Steelers lost several members of the 2023 secondary due to their cap situation before free agency. In March, they cut Keanu Neal and Patrick Peterson. They added cornerback Donte Jackson in a trade with the Carolina Panthers that cost them wide receiver Diontae Johnson.

According to Mike Garafolo with the NFL Network, the Steelers signed safety Grayland Arnold to the roster.

The Eagles signed Arnold as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He played with the Texans from 2021-23. At 26, he’s recorded 33 tackles and one forced fumble. The five-foot-ten, 187-pound safety has appeared in 26 games and made one start in his four-year NFL career. He was a standout at Baylor in college.
