The Pittsburgh Steelers, and the rest of the NFL, waited for months while Aaron Rodgers made his decision for the 2025 NFL season. Following his release from the New York Jets, the four-time league MVP and future Pro Football Hall of Famer took some time to focus on himself and other things that were going on in his personal life.

Which turned out to be quite a bit.

During a rare offseason appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers revealed that multiple people in his life were battling cancer, and that much of his attention was going towards them as he helped them in any way that he could.

But, as everyone now knows, the former Green Bay Packers great, who defeated Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XLV, signed a one-year deal with the Steelers over this past weekend.

All around the NFL, teams are starting mandatory their mandatory mini camp. Rodgers, of course, is present with the Steelers, and made an interesting personal announcement during his first media session with the team.

But while vibes are good in Pittsburgh, others, especially in the AFC North, are looking forward to ruining the good time. Specifically, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, when asked about what he thought regarding Rodgers joining his division said, “I think it’s a good opportunity to put him in the graveyard.”

Obviously, the comment was made in a mostly joking manner. It is worth noting, though, that Rodgers will face Cleveland twice this year and is 3-0 against them in his career.

Garrett is coming off a season that saw him accumulate 14.0 sacks and an NFL-leading 22 tackles for loss.

It will be interesting to see what happens when these two rival teams face off this year.
