The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Wild Card round 28-14 on the road. However, the Steelers were trailing 21-0 at halftime against the Ravens.
Many Pittsburgh fans were questioning head coach Mike Tomlin and so were some former Pittsburgh Steelers players. It was an embarrassment for Pittsburgh on all levels. Many fans voiced their displeasure on Twitter.
Pittsburgh Steelers Fans Want the Team To Move On From Mike Tomlin As Head Coach
The Steelers once again flamed out in the playoffs. The last time that Pittsburgh won a playoff game was in 2016 against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round before losing to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.
Pittsburgh fans have had enough of Mike Tomlin losing in the playoffs despite winning a bunch of games during the regular season every single season. This is what Steelers fans had to say about the head coach:
Just need fresh blood. Tomlin benefits from a Sean Payton-like break

Never happen. Steelers have settled for Mediocre and unwilling to look at the stats, behavior and culture change of the standard. Imagine what Steelers defensive alumni and offensive are thinking watching this year in and year out

Trade Tomlin.

It’s time for him to move on to his life’s work.

There is no question that the Steelers might need a new voice in the locker room. This is starting to look a lot like when the Cincinnati Bengals kept Marvin Lewis as head coach for too long and also when the Philadelphia Eagles and Andy Reid decided to part ways.
Mike Tomlin has been the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers since the 2007 season. He has won a Super Bowl and also been to another lost one. Outside of those two appearances, the Steelers have not made an appearance in the Super Bowl since. It might be time for a change on both sides.
Steelers Keeping Tomlin
Despite all of the fans wanting him fired, the Steelers ownership has shown support for Tomlin. He isn’t going anywhere for the 2025 season despite Pittsburgh fans wanting to make a change. omlin is only 52 years old and there is no doubt that many other NFL teams would be lining up to get him if he was let go by Pittsburgh.
It would be interesting to see where Tomlin would go if he was let go by the Steelers and who Pittsburgh would be interested in hiring as a head coach. The Steelers will be a good team next year, but not a Super Bowl Contender also.
