Pittsburgh Panthers: Fans React To Pat Narduzzi’s Comments About Syracuse Orange Quarterback Kyle McCord

The Pittsburgh Panthers are 6-0 overall this season and 2-0 in ACC Conference play. This Thursday night, they will be hosting the 5-1 Syracuse Orange. Syracuse is 2-1 in ACC Conference play.

It is a big game for both teams. Head coach Pat Narduzzi understands the challenge of facing an elite Orange offense led by quarterback Kyle McCord. Narduzzi also has one of the better quarterbacks in the conference with Eli Holstein as well.

On Monday, Narduzzi spoke to the media ahead of the matchup on Thursday. One of the most important things he mentioned to the media was about McCord’s play for Syracuse this season. Pat Narduzzi said to Ashley Wenskoski:

“”If you’re not a Pitt fan, if you’re not a Syracuse fan, you should get your tickets now because that guy’s going to play in the NFL…he will be the best quarterback that’s walked in to face us in this stadium in a while.”

This is a very interesting take by the Pittsburgh Panthers head coach. The Ohio State Buckeyes should have never let go of Kyle McCord in the first place. This season with the Orange, he has completed 65.6% of his passes for 2,160 yards, 19 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He is not much of a rushing quarterback at all.

McCord is not projected to be a first-round pick or a second-round pick, but he could be drafted in the fourth-seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft.  His performance for the rest of the 2024 college football season will depend on where he could be drafted, but that’s a lot of praise and respect from Pittsburgh Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi about Kyle McCord.
