Philadelphia Eagles: Jason Kelce’s Response To Retirement Question Goes Viral

Ever since the Philadelphia Eagles’ season ended in the Wild Card round, one of the biggest questions about the team is the future of star center Jason Kelce.

There have been reports that he’s retiring, but nothing has been made official. Now, Kelce’s latest comments should only spark more questions than answers.

What Did Jason Kelce Said About His Philadelphia Eagles Future?

Right after their heartbreaking loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, rumors abound that Kelce has told his teammates that he’s calling it a career. Nonetheless, Kelce himself has since clarified that he didn’t announce anything, adding that it’s actually hard to make a decision after such an emotional defeat.

“Nick (Sirianni) kinda gave me an opportunity to talk. I didn’t announce what I was doing on purpose despite I guess what has been linked to the media,” Kelce said earlier in January.

“I just don’t think you’re in a position after a game like that to really make that decision. There’s too much emotion in the moment to really fully grasp that decision.”

At the time of writing, Kelce still has not decided what he plans to do. It seems he’s still enjoying the moment, even making the most of the Pro Bowl Games.

With his brother, Travis Kelce, also playing in the Super Bowl, it’s safe to assume the Eagles star doesn’t want to take any attention from the big game.

Interestingly, Jason Kelce appeared to reveal where his heart and mind are currently at when it comes to retirement.

In a video that is now going viral on TikTok, Kelce can be seen giving his autograph to a group of fans. The person getting the video then told the Philadelphia Eagles icon to not retire, to which the 36-year-old responded: “I’m gonna try not to.”

Sure enough, that’s a pretty interesting response from Kelce. It looks like his heart is still torn, and clearly, he still wants to continue. Nonetheless, considering his age and the fact that he already has a thriving program with his podcast alongside his brother, there is enough reason for him to hang up his cleats.

Whatever he decides to do, though, one thing is certain: Kelce has left an incredible mark on the game with his performance on the field and kindness off it.
