The Philadelphia Eagles, as the winners of Super Bowl LIX, were invited to the White House by United States President Donald Trump to celebrate their victory. As many are aware, it is customary for the NFL Champions to be invited to and visit the White House before they get into the thick of their offseason programs.
Over the last few years, however, the annual Presidential visits have become highly politicized by players, fans, and the President alike. Some may recall that, during President Trump’s first term, the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors rejected his invitation. Twice.
And while the Eagles gladly accepted the invitation from the President, not all of their players were in attendance, most notably quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts Skips Meeting with President Donald Trump

As fans awaited streaming and photos from the Eagles visit to the White House to meet with President Trump, Yamiche Alcindor, a correspondent for NBC News, reported:
A White House official confirms to me that @Eagles quarterback @JalenHurts will not be visiting the White House when the Super Bowl champions come later this afternoon. The White House says Hurts and other players who can’t attend had “scheduling conflicts.”

Hurts, the MVP of Super Bowl LIX, was not in attendance at the White House due to a scheduling conflict.
And while he was not the only Eagles player to skip out on the event, many fans pointed their displeasure at him, specifically, on social media:
That’s total BS.
Should I now be as outraged as all the lefties were over Saquon golfing with the Boss?
I believe he’ll regret missing this chance one day.

What’s more important than visiting the White House? Reschedule that plan

a visit to the white house which was planned weeks and even some months ahead, and somehow a “schedule conflict” happened. I smell bs

Lmao he getting a root canal? Landscapers working on his yard and he needs to supervise? Everyone already knew he wouldn’t be going because he straight up refused to answer the question.
It’s childish behavior from someone wearing that C on his chest. That’s not leadership…

It is worth noting, though, that Hurts has visited the White House and Donald Trump before. He was in attendance with Alabama’s National Championship team in 2018.
