On Saturday, the NFL decided on punishments for actions taken during the Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.
The Eagles dominated the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, winning the contest 40-22. The game was over by halftime, with Kansas City scoring a couple of garbage-time touchdowns to make the score a little more friendly for the history books.
Philadelphia made some hard hits during the contest which led to the league making decisions on punishments.
Two Philadelphia Eagles players were fined

Per Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, two players received fines for the Super Bowl. The league fined linebacker Jalyx Hunt $5,690 for unsportsmanlike conduct.
“The NFL fined Eagles OLB Jalyx Hunt $5,690 for unsportsmanlike conduct (violent gestures) — a bow and arrow sack celebration in Super Bowl LIX. No flag was thrown,” Pelissero posted.

Patrick Mahomes won’t agree with this decision

Per Pelissero, the league did show grace to star defensive tackle Jalen Carter for a hit to Patrick Mahomes’ helmet. But the league directed some ire toward Milton Williams, making the defensive lineman cough up $14,069 for his celebration after a strip-sack.
“The NFL didn’t fine Eagles DT Jalen Carter for his apparent hit to Patrick Mahomes’ helmet in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LIX,” Pelissero posted on X. “However, Milton Williams was fined $14,069 for dunking over the crossbar after the ensuing strip-sack.”

Fans didn’t agree with the punishments. Some thought the league was trying to show they were not favoring the Chiefs by punishing carter for an illegal hit on Mahomes.
“Appreciate you pointing out the ridiculousness here. $14k for a celebratory move that did not hurt anyone. How dare there be excitement shown,” wrote a fan.
“The NFL and Jon Runyon are continuing to demonstrate just how unserious they really are,” posted another.
