The Philadelphia Eagles have to make changes this offseason after a disappointing ending to their year. For starters, the Eagles decided to part ways with OC Brian Johnson. This leaves a big opening on the coaching staff available. Now, recent reports indicate that the Eagles have interviewed a very notable candidate.
Philadelphia Eagles Interview Kliff Kingsbury
According to Mike Garafalo of the NFL Network, the Philadelphia Eagles have interviewed Kliff Kingsbury for their offensive coordinator position. This report comes shortly after a report that indicated the Eagles were going to fire Johnson after one season.
Kingsbury interviewed for the Chicago Bears’ OC position as well. However, it has been filled since then. There are also rumors that Kingsbury is going to interview for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ OC position.
Kliff Kingsbury’s Qualifications
Most of you know that Kingsbury was the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals from 2019-2022. He was fired by the Cardinals after four seasons. After a short retreat to Thailand, Kingsbury came back to the United States to take the quarterbacks coach position for the USC Trojans. Based on these reports, it looks like Kingsbury may be making moves to try to return to the NFL.
