The 13-3 Philadelphia Eagles host the 3-13 New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday for Week 18, the final week of the regular season before the most exciting time of the year: the playoffs. Since they cannot soar to the first seed and will remain the second seed in the NFC, Philadelphia will rest most of their starters against New York. Resting their starters allows the Eagles one more week to prepare for their Wild Card opponent, either the Green Bay Packers or the Washington Commanders, yet to be determined.
The Philadelphia Eagles star TE hasn’t been able to stay healthy this season
Star tight end Dallas Goedert has battled two separate injuries, which have caused him to miss seven games. He suffered a hamstring injury during Week 6, which sidelined him for Weeks 7-9. Goedert sustained a knee injury in Week 13. Although he avoided a catastrophic injury, the Eagles placed him on injured reserve as a precaution, expecting him to be ready for the playoffs. Since then, he missed Weeks 14-17.

The Eagles designated him for return
On X, the Philadelphia Eagles announced they designated Dallas Goedert for return from injured reserve, effectively opening up his practice window. Goedert has 21 days to practice, and the Eagles have 21 days to activate him on the active roster. There is a good chance that he will be ready for their Wild Card round, which would be a massive boost for the offense.
