Philadelphia Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley came under fire from people online after hanging out with United States President Donald Trump before the Super Bowl-winning team visited the White House on Monday.
In a widely circulated photo online, Barkley can be seen with Trump at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
As a response to negative reactions to his spending time with Trump, the former Penn State Nittany Lions star tailback pushed back with a post on X (formerly Twitter).
lol some people are really upset cause I played golfed and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT. Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump ! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have amazing day 😂
Barkley gets support from Antonio Brown

Meanwhile, former Pittsburgh Steelers superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown showed his support for Barkley with a comment on the running back’s post.
Don’t let media & the minority make u feel bad champ
Trump won in landslide.. just like the Eagles did
Luv & Respect 26
While Barkley seemingly had a great time with Trump and the Eagles’ White House visit, Philadelphia star quarterback Jalen Hurts was among those who opted not to attend the event. It can be recalled that Hurts did not answer a question about whether he’d be with the Eagles at the White House.
