Peyton Manning is a lot of things.
The Hall of Fame, Super Bowl-winning former Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts quarterback is also an elite pitch-man, and the ManningCast created alongside his brother, Eli Manning, is appointment television on Monday Night Football.
Just for kicks, Manning also turned in one of the stronger hosting efforts on Saturday Night Live by a professional or former professional athlete in the sketch comedy series’ history.
There’s just one role that doesn’t seem to be approaching for Manning anytime soon.
Is Peyton Manning Considering Running an NFL Franchise?

While Omaha Productions, Manning’s production company, continues to expand its programming across the sports and football universe, actually running a team isn’t something that ranks high on his professional wishlist.
“I don’t think that’s anywhere on my radar by any means,” Manning said of running a team, during a conversation with the Denver Post. “I love being an ambassador for the Broncos and for the Colts, for the University of Tennessee. Obviously, living here I get to go to all the Broncos games. I was out at the facility the other day. Our kids do sports in the area around Dove Valley, so I’m probably at the facility a couple times a week. They have great snacks over there in their cafeteria.
“I don’t know if I’m being charged for those or what. I still have my key fob from when I played. Keith Bishop [the former Broncos linebacker who now runs security for the team] never made that go away, so that’s helpful as well. I’m excited about still being a part of the team and being part of the community. . . . I still feel an attachment and have really enjoyed getting to know the Walton-Penner family as well. But as far as running a team, I don’t think that’s on my radar.”
Broncos fans have in the past longed for Manning to take the reigns of the franchise, but, given Sean Payton’s influence over the organization and Manning’s success in the broadcast world, this doesn’t sound like a match that’s going to happen anytime soon.
