Patrick Mahomes, superstar of the Kansas City Chiefs, was one of millions who reacted to Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton’s Achilles injury in Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Haliburton’s injury occurred in the very first quarter of the game, and the legendary pillar of Indiana could be seen being helped to the locker room by support staff.
Haliburton’s injury was the main causal factor of Indiana’s loss to the Thunder, who eventually managed to win the NBA title. The point guard and the Pacers were actually in the lead until the Achilles injury caused the rest of the team to falter.
“Prayers up man…” Patrick Mahomes reacted to Tyrese Haliburton’s injury along with three praying emojis.
Patrick Mahomes’s consolation comes as the Oklahoma City Thunder eventually won the NBA title with a final score of 103-91. Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the star of the game, putting up 29 points for his team, with five boards and 12 helpers, while Jalen Williams added another 20 to the scoreboard.

Mahomes is definitely an avid basketball fan and has shown up to several games in the recent past. The quarterback has admitted his love for the Dallas Mavericks. However, his favorite NBA team did not do so well in this NBA season, finishing tenth in the West with only 39 wins.
Patrick Mahomes’ Mom Asks For Prayers For Young Family Member
While Patrick Mahomes has reached out to Tyrese Haliburton with prayers for his injury, his mother Randi Mahomes has been asking followers for their prayers for a young family member. On Sunday, Randi revealed that her cousin’s grandson, Luka, is in a critical condition in the hospital fighting stage L2 intermediate neuroblastoma.

Patrick Mahomes’ mum shared two pictures of sweet Luka, with the first one showing him smiling at the camera, and the second showing him in a hospital crib with tubes and devices hooked up to him. Luka is currently in the Dallas Children’s Hospital where he is fighting for his life.

Randi Mahomes is pretty close to her family members, and is often seen as the glue that holds everyone together. Earlier this year, Randi lost her own father, right around the time when her son lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. Randi has also used her large social media following as a great space for venting and also sharing important life updates.
