Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, was recently asked about wide receiver, Hollywood Brown, who had an injury-filled 2024 season. In the 2024 preseason, Brown injured his shoulder, most particularly his sternoclavicular joint. The wide receiver had to undergo surgery for the same but managed to make a return to the field in Week 16.
Still, because of him missing out a majority of the season, Hollywood Brown’s stats were definitely not up to par, but the team is expecting a lot out of the wide-out. It looks like the Chiefs starting quarterback is also among those who are expecting plenty out of Brown in the 2025 NFL season.
“He’s going to be someone who makes plays for us. Even though he wasn’t playing, he was in those meeting rooms last year, so he has an understanding of how we do things. Then at the end of last year, kind of getting thrown in, he made some plays and did some stuff in a very hard situation. I’m excited for him, I’m excited for that whole room.” Patrick Mahomes spoke about Hollywood Brown in a recent conversation with reporters on Tuesday.

Hollywood Brown, Patrick Mahomes’ teammate, is still yet to show the healthy and talented side of himself after signing with the Kansas City Chiefs only in the previous football season. In the 2023 season, Brown played with the Arizona Cardinals and managed four touchdowns with 51 receptions for the team.

Patrick Mahomes is hailed as one of the greatest football players of all time by many. However, many others feel that former New England Patriots’ legend Tom Brady is the GOAT in the NFL mainly because he won seven Super Bowl rings in his career. The debate between Mahomes and Brady as the GOAT has been ongoing for several years now, and former NFL wide receiver Cris Carter has shared his two cents on the matter.
In a recent episode of his podcast, Carter remarked that Patrick Mahomes should definitely be considered for GOAT along with Tom Brady, even if the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has not won as many Super Bowl rings. Carter also hinted that Brady’s success was mainly because of the coaching and the defense that the Patriots had.
As of now, Mahomes has won three Super Bowl rings. With the career trajectory that Mahomes is on, it definitely looks like the quarterback will be on his way to win a lot more Super Bowl rings soon.
