Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes stayed on the injury report as the team prepares to play the Miami Dolphins in Germany. Mahomes was a surprise add to the report on Sunday for an illness. That could have been part of his struggles in the Chiefs’ loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 8.
Patrick Mahomes has a hand injury
According to the Chiefs website, Mahomes is on the injury report on Week 9. The cause of injury is his left (non-throwing) hand. However, Mahomes was a full participant Wednesday despite the injury.

The Chiefs will need Mahomes ready to go against the Dolphins in Week 9. This could be a preview of a matchup for the AFC playoffs. The Dolphins and Chiefs have 6-2 records coming into the contest.
The left-hand injury shouldn’t keep Mahomes from playing the Dolphins. However, it could cause him some discomfort against the Dolphins. The discomfort Mahomes had with the flu against the Broncos proved much for the Chiefs to overcome when he threw two interceptions and no touchdowns in their 24-9 loss.
