However, it was a recent $50,000 decision that had Brittany talking.

After throwing for the fewest yards in his career (3,928) in 2024, Patrick is coming off a disappointing season. Still, he guided his team to the Super Bowl for the fifth time in six years. Heading into a “bounce back” season, Mahomes made a huge personal decision:
The offseason is still underway, and that hasn’t stopped the two-time NFL MVP from making moves. Through his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation and a partnership with Bold.org, Mahomes is giving back to students in his hometown of Tyler, Texas.
The three-time Super Bowl champion is committing $50,000 in scholarship funds for five students in the Tyler area, with each student receiving $10,000.
High school seniors graduating in 2025 can apply by submitting a 300–500-word essay that includes a personal story, their passions, future goals and any obstacles they’ve overcome.
Shortly after Bold.org and the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation shared that the application is now open in a collaborative post, Patrick’s wife, Brittany Mahomes, reacted to it on social media.

15 and the Mahomies Foundation was founded in 2019 with a mission to improve “the lives of children. The Foundation supports initiatives that focus on health, wellness, communities in need of resources and other charitable causes.”
Earlier this month, Mahomes also made a generous donation to the Kansas City Library’s Summer Reading Program. With the donation, the library purchased 6,000 books and gave them to kids around the city.
