ESPN’s Pat McAfee received heavy criticism from people on social media following his announcement Wednesday on Aaron Rodgers, a frequent guest of The Pat McAfee Show. Rodgers’ recent spat with ABC late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel regarding topics such as UFO conspiracies and the Epstein list.
Kimmel, a comedian who earns a favorable income taking shots at celebrities, isn’t a fan of jokes at his expense. Kimmel claimed last week the New York Jets quarterback put his family in danger when Rodgers said in a humorous fashion that Kimmel didn’t want the Epstein list to be released. (Kimmel had previously mocked Rodgers on his ABC show for discussing the Epstein list.)
McAfee, who had one helluva week with the Disney company between Rodgers’ feud with Kimmel and McAfee’s attack on ESPN executive Norby Williamson, announced Wednesday that Rodgers would not return on his show as a regular Wednesday guest for the remainder of the NFL’s postseason.
In the past, Rodgers was only a guest on McAfee’s show during the regular season. However, Rodgers supposed to be a guest on McAfee’s show this postseason before the Kimmel feud. It’s unclear if Rodgers will return as a guest during the 2024 regular season.
Pat McAfee accused of going “woke” by canceling Rodgers
McAfee said he was relieved to have a break from Rodgers appearing as a guest on Wednesday, as his mentions on social media can be hostile. However, many fans of Rodgers and the show criticized McAfee for going “woke” and caving to ESPN and Disney after a fellow Disney colleague cried about unwelcome attention.

Lost all respect for Pat Mcafee and AJ Hawk too! Fair weather friends to Rodgers.
McAfee sold his soul to the woke mob like a coward! Rodgers is the only reason I watched the show. He literally put the show on the map. McAfee is now just a phony, a total sell out. Never watching that show again.
And for what? All this BS because that demonic, piece of garbage Jimmy Kimmel? Kimmel made a living on ‘treasonously’ slandering a former president, defaming anyone who opposes his extremist woke views. (oh yea and watching girls on trampolines) Someone hits wittle baby Jimmy back and like a true coward, he threatens legal action and becomes a victim. It’s a pathetic world we live in!
Freedom of expressing the truth and opinion doesn’t exist on the McAfee show anymore. Just another phony show, where you’ll be cancelled for speaking your mind.
