On Friday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles announced they signed a veteran cornerback. The move came as All-Pro defensive back James Bradberry suffered an injury during practice this week.

As previously discussed on GH, Bradberry suffered the injury after being switched from cornerback to safety this offseason:
According to John McMullen, Bradberry suffered an injury during individual drills Tuesday. He briefly went into the medical tent before returning to the sideline. He did not participate during the team period.
It’s unclear how severe Bradberry’s injury is. The injury could affect how Roseman proceeds this offseason. Bradberry is a cut candidate, and the Eagles had a chance to salvage something for losing Bradberry if they traded him.
Bradberry suffered an abductor injury
Per Jeff McLane with the Philadelphia Inquirer, Bradberry suffered an abductor injury:
#Eagles DB James Bradberry has an abductor injury that has been keeping him out of minicamp, an NFL source said. Not considered a big deal at this point.
While Bradberry’s injury isn’t considered serious, the Eagles felt the need to add a veteran defensive back.
The Eagles signed Parry Nickerson
Per a statement by the Eagles, the team announced they signed Parry Nickerson. The New York Jets selected Nickerson in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. At 29, he’s spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, and Miami Dolphins.
The five-foot-ten, 179-pound cornerback has appeared in 30 games and starter in two games. He’s recorded 33 total tackles.
