The Ole Miss Rebels are looking forward to the 2024 college football season. They finished 11-2 a season ago under head coach Lane Kiffin. Ole Miss won the Peach Bowl last season against the Penn State Nittany Lions from the BIG10 Conference.
In 2024, the Ole Miss Rebels are hoping to be one of several teams in the SEC Conference to be in the newly expanded college football playoff field. They will compete with the Georgia Bulldogs and the Texas Longhorns as some of the elite teams in the SEC Conference.
The Rebels could have one of the most electrifying offenses in all of the nation. Wide receiver Jordan Watkins has a chance to be one of two wide receivers on the roster to go over 1,000 yards receiving this season.

Senior quarterback Jaxson Dart could be a dark horse candidate to win the Heisman Trophy this season. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck and Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers are two potential candidates to win the Heisman Trophy this season. Dart will have a ton of talent returning at the wide receiver position. The Ole Miss Rebels program can very well be in good hands after he graduates.
Ole Miss Rebels Backup Quarterback Austin Simmons Works Out With Miami Dolphins Wide Receiver Jaylen Waddle

Simmons is the backup quarterback to Jaxson Dart on the Ole Miss Rebels roster. He posted a video on his Twitter page about working out with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle the other day.

Austin Simmons is currently going through rehab to get ready for the 2024 college football season because he sprained his UCL during conference play in baseball. Simmons decided not to undergo surgery for his injury and decided to rehab it instead.
He is currently a freshman and will be entering his sophomore season in 2024. Simmons is 6’3″ and weighs 195 lbs and is from Moore Haven, Florida. He is a left-handed thrower.
During his senior year of high school, he threw for 3,253 yards and 27 touchdowns. Austin Simmons will most likely not see the field during his sophomore season unless there is an injury to Jaxson Dart or if the Rebels are in a ton of blowouts and he is for mop-up duty.

Simmons can very well be the starting quarterback for this program in 2025. He will learn a lot from Jaxson Dart in 2024 with the Ole Miss Rebels to be the signal caller after that. However, Austin Simmons working out with Jaylen Waddle captured a lot of attention because Waddle went to another SEC School and that was the Alabama Crimson Tide.
