The Ole Miss Rebels finished with a 9-3 record during the 2024 college football season. The Rebels just missed the college football playoffs this season, but Ole Miss has been successful to their standards over the last two seasons.
The Duke Blue Devils also finished the regular season with a 9-3 record and are coached by Manny Diaz. Duke is not ranked, but Ole Miss is ranked 14 in the country.
Ole Miss Rebels Will Face the Duke Blue Devils In the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl on January 2
The Rebels will face the Blue Devils in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl on January 2, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be played in Jacksonville, Florida. On paper, Ole Miss is much better than Duke. Maalik Murphy is the starting quarterback for the Blue Devils and Jaxson Dart is the starting quarterback for the Rebels.
Duke is looking to pull off the upset in this win. As for Ole Miss, they are looking to prove to themselves that they are a very good football team and they want to win their 10th game of the college football season.

Ole Miss SHOULD BE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!! what a joke the committee is…. They phoned it in using AI! Only 2 SEC teams is laughable!

Had the Ole Miss Rebels not lost to the Florida Gators, they would be in the college football playoffs with a 10-2 record and not facing the Duke Blue Devils in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. Ole Miss, Jaxson Dart, and Lane Kiffin are looking to end the 2024 season on a good note.
