Ohio State and Texas will meet in the Cotton Bowl next week to determine their spot in the national title game, and one former prominent sports talk show host is not thrilled with Texas’s chance to pull off the upset.
On New Year’s Day, Texas and Ohio State had two different performances, with the Longhorns blowing a big-time lead to Arizona State and having to win in overtime. At the same time, the Buckeyes got out to an early 34-0 lead on the number one team in the country, Oregon, and won the contest 41-21.
Skip Bayless Is High On Ohio State
The Buckeyes have looked like the best team in the country in the last two games, and former ESPN and Fox Sports host Skip Bayless doesn’t think the Longhorns have any chance of taking down the Buckeyes.
Bayless tweeted, “Ohio State Will Beat Texas Pretty Easily,” which is unsurprising because He is a big-time Oklahoma fan.

Texas and Oklahoma are among the best rivals in college football. They don’t root for each other, no matter who they play.
Ohio State and Michigan fans do the same thing, so there will probably be a lot of Longhorns fans being backed by people in Ann Arbor, and many Buckeye fans will have that same feeling from people in Norman.
In most places, the Buckeyes are a 4.5-point favorite over the Longhorns. If Texas plays as they did against Arizona State, they will have zero chance of pulling off the upset. However, even though the Buckeyes look great at the moment, they also looked awful and lost to Michigan a month ago, so there is a chance they can do it again next week.
It will be interesting to see how both teams play. The game’s losers will not have much time to try to get their revenge since they play each other in Week One in Columbus next season.
