Ohio State has one of the most iconic stadiums in all of college football, and the stadium is nicknamed the Shoe due to it looking like a giant horseshoe; even though it is very iconic, the environment isn’t that great, and there are a lot of times the stadium is very quiet when it shouldn’t be and one of the best college football analysts in the country took a note and ranked the Buckeyes outside of his eight loudest stadiums in the sport.

Pate is the host of Late Kick Live, part of CBS Sports, and he took to his social media account X to rank his eight loudest stadiums in college football. Here are the rankings. 1. LSU, 2. Tennessee, 3. Penn State, 4. Auburn, 5. Florida, 6. Washington, 7. Oregon, 8. Texas A&M.

These rankings were based on Pate’s personal experience, so if he hasn’t been to a stadium, he did not put it on the list; some of the big-time venues were missing since he hasn’t been there, but he has been to Ohio State and didn’t seem to be much of a fan.

The Stadium is very quiet at times and sometimes even during big games like when Michigan came to town in 2022. There were moments in that game where you could hear a pin drop, and that’s how low the stadium’s environment was.
The crazy thing is that a handful of Buckeyes fans have noticed the stadium isn’t that loud, either. Many fans took to social media to give their reactions, and here are some of them.

It’s crazy to me that so many Buckeye fans think the environment in the Shoe is top notch. The crowd is very sleepy outside Michigan and the in stadium experience is really bland.
