College football fans were angry when ESPN released their new football power index rankings following rival weekend on Saturday. The FPI, which uses a computer system to evaluate teams, has created confusing rankings all season.
But the new rankings released Sunday morning are a special kind of bizarre. On3 posted the results of the new FPI, and the first and second teams on the ranking should upset anyone. Ohio State is ranked one, and Michigan is ranked number two.

The FPI placed the Buckeyes one spot above the Wolverines one day after losing at the “Big House” on Saturday. The Wolverines held on to win at home by a 30-24 score without their head coach, Jim Harbaugh, on the sideline as he served his final ban of the season from the Big Ten.

Fans reacted to the FPI on social media. Here are the best takes of fans being angry with the Buckeyes being number one.
Ohio St over Michigan is certainly a choice.

ESPN’s Computer has a virus. If my computer spit results like this out, I’d take it out back and put it down.

If this is what your FPI spots out then you gotta fix the formula lol. ESPN joking with this.

Agreed! Why punish OSU for losing a one score game on the road to a playoff team!
Sorry their rival is not 5-6 Florida, 5-6 Washington State, or 6-6 Auburn/GT. Tough games 😹

And, Texas behind Alabama. And, FSU behind them both. Complete garbage list.
