Ohio State started their game against Oregon, where they left off against Tennessee, scoring 34 points before the Ducks even got on the scoreboard, and a team that many people picked to lose to the Volunteers a few weeks ago is now everyone’s favorite to win it all.
The Buckeyes must’ve woken up after their loss to Michigan in the last week of the regular season because they had been the best team in the country the previous two games, winning by a score of 83-37 against two of the greatest teams in the sport.
Ohio State Fans Troll Oregon
Ohio State’s head coach Ryan Day was put on the hot seat among many Buckeye fans, and they wanted him fired after what happened vs Michigan, but now they love him and even are making fun of Oregon using one of his famous quotes.
In 2023, before Ohio State traveled to play Notre Dame, former Fighting Irish head coach Lou Holtz called Day and his team soft. This didn’t sit well with the 45-year-old head coach, who screamed in the microphone after he pulled off the late miracle win, “I’d like to know where Lou Holtz is right now.”
Day going after Holtz was an iconic moment that everyone was talking about, and now Ohio State fans are taking his famous quote and stating, “I’d like to know where Phil Knight is right now.”

Knight is the founder and owner of Nike, Oregon alumni, and a major NIL donor to the school. At 86, Knight would love to see Oregon bring home a title soon. That is why the Ducks keep getting the best players in the country: he is giving them all the money in the world.
Oregon and Knight will have to wait another year to win their first college football national championship. They took one of the best teams in school history and couldn’t even make the semi-finals.
