Ohio State has gotten off to a 2-0 start this season, and their first two contests weren’t exactly difficult. The Buckeyes opened up with two MAC schools, Akron and Westen Michigan, beating them with a combined score of 108 to 6. This week, they welcome Marshall, which should also be an easy game.
The Buckeyes do not have an out-of-conference power four teams on their schedule this season, and their first real test will come when they play Oregon on October 12th.
Even though the Buckeyes haven’t played anyone yet this season, they still have one of the best rosters and teams in college football and are the favorites to win the title, according to some sportsbooks.
One college football analyst has been critical of Ohio State’s nonconference schedule and has not been so nice to them in his rankings each week.
Danny Kanell Rips Ohio State
Former Florida State quarterback and current CBS analyst Danny Kanell releases a ranking each week after all the college football games are played, and his rankings are slightly different from others.
Kanell ranks the teams that deserve to be ranked high because they have beaten good teams, earning a high spot, and Ohio State has not been doing so well on his list.
Many Buckeyes fans have been going after the former Florida State quarterback for his rankings, and he stated on the CBS college football show for Ohio State to play somebody with a pulse.

Kanell also said that Ohio State looks awesome, but they just haven’t played anyone, which is true. Buckeye fans should not get mad at Kanell for ranking Ohio State low because the Buckeyes will be tested soon with Oregon, Penn State, and Michigan, and everything will work itself out on the field.
