Ohio State entered the season with one of the best rosters in the country, but during the preseason, they were never favored to win it all.
Georgia has won two of the last three national championships and beat the Buckeyes in the college football playoffs two years ago. The Bulldogs were the favorite in most sportsbooks to win it all this season, but they hit a rough patch on Saturday.
The Bulldogs went into Kentucky and escaped with a one-point win, which many sportsbooks didn’t like. Kentucky was just destroyed by South Carolina a week ago, and then they took Georgia down to the wire.
The AP Top 25 dropped Georgia one spot to number two, moving Texas ahead of them. Even though the Longhorns are the number-one team in the country, they aren’t the favorites to win it all.
Ohio State Is Favored To Win The Title
According to Fanduel, Ohio State is now favored to win the national championship at +330. The Buckeyes have yet to play a good team, so it’s kind of a shock that they are now the favorites since Texas went on the road and beat Michigan, and Georgia beat Clemson.

Ohio State won its first two games of the season by a combined score of 108-6. The team is only allowing 138 yards per game, the least in the nation. Between Ohio State’s stellar defense and its standout receivers on offense, it’s easy to see why FanDuel has high expectations for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State still has a lot to prove before it should be the team to beat, but it will have its chance to show the college football world what it is made of in about a month when it heads to Oregon to take on a great Ducks team.
The Buckeyes have the roster and coaching staff to win it all this season, and now let’s see if they can finally put it together.
