Hashtags on the site formerly known as Twitter have been a fantastic way of gathering like-minded individuals from all over the web. When it comes to Major League Baseball, there’s so much content going out that following a certain hashtag makes sure you’re in the know. It’s the same in the NFL!
Each year, Twitter does a cool thing where if you use a special hashtag, a little icon shows up. It’s just another fun way of interacting with fans of the same team. In this series, we will give out each of the hashtags for all eight divisions, continuing with the NFC West.
Official NFC West Hashtags for the 2024 Season
San Francisco 49ers (#FTTB)
The San Francisco 49ers are the favorites to win the NFC West again in 2024, coming off a successful season. With a strong roster featuring a talented quarterback and a formidable defense, they are well-equipped for another playoff run. However, they will face challenges from division rivals and must maintain consistency throughout the season. The 49ers are looking to capitalize on their momentum and contend for a Super Bowl title.
If you don’t know what #FTTB means, you’re not alone. It stands for “Faithful to the Bay.” The 49ers have been one of the final four teams in the NFL Playoffs in four of the last five seasons, trailing only the Chiefs with the most. They have one of the best coaches in the league and easily one of the best rosters. If it weren’t for Patrick Mahomes, the 49ers would have two more rings on their fingers.
Los Angeles Rams (#RamsHouse)
The Los Angeles Rams are looking to bounce back after a mixed 2023 season. With a focus on improving their offensive line and enhancing their defense, they aim to compete for a playoff spot. The health of key players, including quarterback Matthew Stafford, will be crucial for their success. If they can stay healthy and find their rhythm, the Rams could surprise many in the NFC West.
Having a duo of Cooper Kupp and Puca Nacua is just unfair. They will need to deal with the fact that Aaron Donald will no longer be dominating on the interior defensive line. The Rams did draft well, so time will tell if that’s enough.
Seattle Seahawks (#Seahawks)
The Seattle Seahawks are entering the 2024 season with a mix of optimism and uncertainty. With a solid defensive lineup and an evolving offense, they aim to improve on their previous season’s performance. The addition of key draft picks should help bolster their roster, but they will need to find consistency at quarterback to make a serious playoff push. The Seahawks are looking to regain their competitive edge in the division.
Geno Smith took a slight step back in 2023 after exploding onto the scene in 2022. Jaxon Smith-Njigba enters year two in the system and should break out as a solid WR2 to DK Metcalf’s WR1. Plus the running back duo of Ken Walker and Zach Chanbonnet will be one many fantasy football managers watch with care.
Arizona Cardinals (#BirdGang)
The Arizona Cardinals are in a rebuilding phase, with hopes pinned on quarterback Kyler Murray‘s health and performance. The team has made significant roster changes, including drafting top talent to enhance their offense. However, defensive weaknesses remain a concern, potentially hindering their progress. While they aim to improve from last season’s struggles, it may be challenging to escape the bottom of the NFC West.
Murray should be back and 100% for 2024 for, really, the first time since 2021, the last time he played 16 games. However, the Cardinals did use their fourth-overall pick on generational wide receiver, Marvin Harrison, Jr. Harrison should have no issue being the WR1 in that offense. At running back, Trey Benson comes in to work with James Conner.
