Hashtags on the site formerly known as Twitter have been a fantastic way of gathering like-minded individuals from all over the web. When it comes to Major League Baseball, there’s so much content going out that following a certain hashtag makes sure you’re in the know. It’s the same in the NFL!
Each year, Twitter does a cool thing where if you use a special hashtag, a little icon shows up. It’s just another fun way of interacting with fans of the same team. In this series, we will give out each of the hashtags for all eight divisions, continuing with the NFC North.
Official NFC North Hashtags for 2024
Chicago Bears (#DaBears)
The Chicago Bears are entering the 2024 season with optimism, focusing on the development of rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. With new offensive weapons and a revamped coaching staff, the Bears aim to improve their offensive output significantly. The defense, traditionally a strong point for the franchise, will need to step up to support the young offense. If they can find consistency, the Bears could surprise their rivals in the NFC North.
When the Bears traded back from first-overall last year, they made the right pick because the Carolina Panthers ended up as the worst team in the NFL, thus handing the top 2024 draft pick to Chicago. They didn’t have many picks, so pairing Williams up with Rome Odunze has to hit.
Detroit Lions (#OnePride)
The Detroit Lions are looking to build on their success from last season, aiming for another division title in 2024. With a potent offense led by quarterback Jared Goff and a strong supporting cast, the Lions are poised to compete at a high level. Their defense has also seen significant improvements, providing a balanced approach. If they can navigate a challenging schedule, the Lions are serious contenders in the NFC North.
Amon-Ra St. Brown has developed into one of the top receivers in the NFL and Jahmyr Gibbs has made it look like the first-round pedigree used on him was worth it. Add in Aidain Hutchinson and Brain Branch holding down the defense and the Lions can make a run to the Super Bowl.
Green Bay Packers (#GoPackGo)
The Green Bay Packers are on the way up with an incredibly young team from a year ago. The team is focused on developing young talent while maintaining competitiveness in the NFC North. With a strong running game and a solid defense, the Packers hope to remain in the playoff conversation. The success of their new quarterback will be crucial in determining their fate this season.
Jordan Love was just paid, thanking him for leading the Packers to the playoffs (and a win over the Cowboys) despite having the youngest roster. He has a handful of receivers who can lead the offense and the defense looks to be even better in 2024.
Minnesota Vikings (#SKOL)
The Minnesota Vikings are looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2023 season. With a talented roster and a focus on improving their defense, the Vikings aim to compete for the NFC North title. The offense, no longer led by quarterback Kirk Cousins, has the potential to be explosive, but consistency will be key. If they can find their rhythm early, the Vikings could challenge for a playoff spot.
Who will be the Vikings quarterback? Sam Darnold has seemingly taken the lead in camp as J.J. McCarthy has struggled without already knowing the defense’s plays as he did in college. Justin Jefferson is one of the best receivers in the NFL and has been able to win games for Minnesota himself. They’ll be rebuilding a bit this year in a tough division.
