Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, will mostly be seen in the next NFL season after retirement rumors started spreading after his team lost in the most recent Super Bowl. In Super Bowl LIX, the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Philadelphia Eagles and lost abysmally with a final score of 40-22.
While Kansas City’s quarterback Patrick Mahomes led the offense with 21 pass completions out of 32 attempts for 257 yards, scoring thrice, tight end Kelce did not do much with only four receptions for 39 yards. Kelce could be seen visibly heartbroken towards the end of the game, when it was clear that the Chiefs will not win.
“We’re very similar people, but we also have different ways of thinking about things. Sometimes I can way overanalyze situations, and any big decision I’m having in my life I’ll think about the negatives and what about this or that, I wanna do too much. My brother, he has this way of being like, ‘Hey man, you want to play or you don’t want to play.’ I think Travis, I think he probably, in his heart, already knows what he wants to do. The defeat in the most recently concluded Super Bowl destroyed Kansas City’s chances of becoming the first team to score a three-peat, after winning the Super Bowl continuously for the last two years. Kelce has been an integral part of the team’s success, along with quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Meanwhile, according to a recent news report, Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, lost around 144,200 followers on Instagram after her appearance in the most recent Super Bowl. Swift showed up to Super Bowl LIX in order to support her boyfriend, Kelce. When she was shown on the jumbotron, almost the entire crowd at the stadium started to boo her.
Swift realized only quite later on that the booing was directed at her, and responded in a quizzed fashion. It was not only the booing that caused the pop star to lose followers but also because of her political standings. Swift has been known to be a staunch Democrat, and this clearly did not stand well with Republican supporters. In fact, the presence of newly-elected US President Donald Trump at the Super Bowl would have definitely supported her booing even more.
