NFL Fans Are Losing It Over The New ‘Sunday Ticket’ Price

NFL fans have been a bit extra bothered this week, as fans are learning how much they will have to pay to watch games this year. It is going to be quite an expensive endeavor to watch games this year, and fans are taking to social media to share their frustration over the new prices for viewing.

Per Taylor Hartman of Gridiron Heroics the prices for all of the games are as follows:

Here is the breakdown of where every game will be streamed for the 2024-2025 season:

  • Local Games: $74.99/month

  • ESPN+: $10.99/month

  • Peacock: $5.99/month

  • Prime: $8.99/month

  • Netflix: $6.99/month

  • Sunday Ticket with RedZone: $739.99

If you were to purchase every single subscription, the total cost to watch every single game would be $1,387.69 for the entire season.

The league will now be adding a way to purchase their Sunday Ticket outside of YouTube TV. However, the pricing for it will be completely unreasonable for the huge majority of fans.

Per Puck’s John Ourand:

YouTube will place Sunday Ticket on the Apple App Store to watch on an iPad or iPhone. It’ll cost $679.99 a year, or $739.99 if bundled with RedZone.

Fans have been taking to social media to share their fri=ustration over the new prices as a whole, and this additional offer for Sunday Ticket:

“I bailed on Sunday Ticket this year. There’s just no way it’s worth the price to watch my favorite team’s full game every week,” Ryan Svenson said. “I’m doing NFL + this year instead and will be content with RedZone on Sundays and a replay of the game during the week.”

“That Sunday Ticket price is disgraceful to all consumers,” Ron Carthen of 7News DC said.

“WNBA league pass, $35 a year,” a fan noted. “Choose wisely.”

“The ‘contempt for the audience’ pricing tier,” a fan joked.

We will have to wait and see if these numbers will impact viewership as a whole for this season.
