Robert Saleh’s recent firing by the New York Jets won’t be the last termination of a head coach this season. According to an NFL insider, there’s a pretty good chance the New Orleans Saints will do the same to Dennis Allen.
The Jets have made a significant change by firing Saleh following a disappointing 2-3 start to the season. Owner Woody Johnson, who described the decision as his alone, announced that defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich will step in as the interim head coach. This marks Johnson’s first in-season coaching change in 25 years.

Saleh’s tenure, which began with high expectations, ultimately fell short, culminating in a 20-36 record and no playoff appearances. The Jets, who aimed for a playoff run this year largely due to the addition of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, have struggled offensively, leading to growing frustrations within the organization.
In his farewell statement, Saleh expressed gratitude for the opportunity to coach the team and acknowledged the support of players and fans. Despite the setbacks, Johnson believes that a change in leadership will provide the team with a better chance to achieve its goals.
Ulbrich, who has been with the Jets since Saleh’s hiring, is expected to bring energy and focus as he leads the team moving forward. The Jets hope that under Ulbrich’s guidance, they can turn their season around, starting with an upcoming matchup against the Buffalo Bills. With the team still in contention in the AFC East, there is potential for a turnaround if the Jets can find their rhythm and improve their performance on both sides of the ball.
ESPN’s NFL Insider Dan Graziano Projects New Orleans Saints’ Dennis Allen as Next Head Coach To Be Fired

The Saints’ horrible performance these past few weeks may pave the way for Allen’s firing. NFL insider Dan Graziano explains more in his analysis for ESPN.
This becomes especially true because Jacksonville’s Doug Pederson, whose seat likely was the hottest in the league going into Week 7, got a win Sunday over the Patriots in London.
The Saints are going to start getting some of their stars back over the next week or so. And the next two offenses they face are the Chargers and Panthers, so their defense will have a chance to look better. But it’s not like Denver’s offense has done this to anyone else.
Saints ownership likes Allen a lot and wants to see him succeed. But given the roster and salary cap issues, as well as their long-term uncertainty at quarterback, this is absolutely a spot to watch for a potential coaching change at the end of the season, if not sooner. Allen’s seat is scorching hot.
After Week 7 of the NFL season, many fans and analysts are calling for the dismissal of New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen. The team’s underwhelming performance, marked by inconsistent offense and defensive struggles, has raised concerns about their direction.

Critics argue that Allen’s leadership has not translated into success, especially given the talent on the roster. As the Saints grapple with their identity and playoff aspirations, the pressure mounts for a change. If results don’t improve soon, Allen’s position could be at serious risk, making the coming weeks crucial for the franchise.
