The NFL world was all talking about a viral Tom Brady interview, after he shockingly admitted that he would come out of retirement… again. In a recent podcast he confirmed that he is not opposed to coming back this season if a team gives him a call.
This got everyone talking about which potential team would call Tom perhaps later on in the year. Brady, in the podcast, brought up Joe Flaco’s situation this past season with the Cleveland Browns, and said that he would not be opposed to a situation like that.

While Brady mentions a few teams himself that he would maybe go to, NFL insider and FS1’s Colin Cowherd has a surprise team that may give Brady a call later in the season.
NFL Insider Colin Cowherd Thinks Tom Brady Will Play For Minnesota Vikings
Colin Cowherd thinks that a real potential destination for the goat if he would come out of retirement would be the Minnesota Vikings.
He believes that the Vikings have all the tools for Brady including one of the best receivers in the NFL in Justin Jefferson. If there is an injury to Sam Darnold early in the year, Cowherd believes the Vikings may pick up the phone to call Brady.
“Let’s say the Minnesota Vikings call. Sam Darnold…slight injury and whoever they draft at quarterback is not ready to play in that division with the Packers offense, the Bears with Caleb Williams, and the Vikings like their team. They’re off to a 3-1 start. Look at what they would have. Kevin O’Connell, the tall Sean McVay head coach, Brady, top five running back Aaron Jones, the best receiver probably in the league Justin Jefferson, an excellent two in Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, and maybe the best young left tackle Christian Darrisaw,” Cowherd said.
“Seven elite people, including the head coach. Who’s more gifted in the NFL offensively?”
Cowherd makes great points all around, but it is all contingent on what happens with Darnold. Brady will unlikely return to a team that does not have a chance at making the post season. For Brady, just getting into the post season is enough to think about winning another Super Bowl.
Minnesota Vikings Should Call Tom Brady Today
The fact that Tom said that had many fans freaking out, but if any NFL GM’s saw that, does it get them to pick up the phone and make the call? The New England Patriots or the Las Vegas Raiders should give him a call before the season starts really. It interesting that Brady says he would return to the Patriots right after Bill Belichick walks away.
When you have no quarterback, or are drafting one this year, the best thing for a young prospect would be to sit behind Brady for a year. The Vikings, as well, have been reported to be interested in drafting a quarterback. While Tom Brady may just be joking, it would at least be worth a phone call to see if he would actually consider making a return.
While Brady’s last year in the NFL was one of his worst, the year prior he had arguably the best season of his career at age 44. There would be no reason at all not to give the call to get Brady back to the NFL for one more year.
Tom Brady went viral today for joking about coming out of retirement and playing for the #Patriots — it sucks because the full interview was full of incredible insight as to how he became who he is.
