The Cleveland Browns finished the 2024 regular season with a 3-14 record. Cleveland will have the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Tennessee Titans will have the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. It is possible that Tennessee and Cleveland could be drafting quarterbacks. Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson had his season cut short once again due to an injury.
Cleveland Browns Quarterback Deshaun Watson Re-Tore His Achilles
On Friday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson re-tore his Achillies. There is a great chance that he will miss all of the 2025 NFL season. Watson this season completed 63.4% of his passes for 1,148 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions.
It appears as if Watson’s days as the starting quarterback for the Browns are over. There is no doubt that they will draft a quarterback with the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, sign a free agent, or trade for a quarterback.
NFL Fans React To News
His career is done, he was really bad prior to these injuries and of course the off the field baggage is too much.

Poor DeShawn. Out for an entire season making that big fat paycheck. Time for him to go.

Browns trade for Kirk Cousins. I’m calling it now.

It would be interesting to see if the Browns would release Watson at some point before the start of the 2025 season. This makes Cleveland’s decision to get a new quarterback in 2025 a whole lot easier. There is no doubt that the Browns fanbase is thrilled that there will be a new signal caller next year.
