There are not many players as universally disliked by NFL fans than Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson. Of course, the three-time Pro Bowler will not be playing in 2025 due to a second torn Achilles, and his with the Browns franchise is very much in doubt.

Prior to being traded to Cleveland, Watson was considered one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL when he played with the Houston Texans. From 2018-2020, he made three consecutive Pro Bowls and led the league with 4,823 passing yards in 2020 while also throwing 33 touchdowns against just seven interceptions.

Indeed, the future looked bright for Watson and the Texans following the 2020 season. But then the scandal hit.

Deshaun Watson Missed 1 NFL Season Due to a Suspension for Vile Behavior

As fans are well aware, Watson was accused of inappropriate behavior by over 20 masseuses in the Houston area. They all filed suit against him, and the evidence of his guilt must have been overwhelming as the NFL suspended him for 11 games in 2021. He did not play at all that season.

In 2022, the Browns sent a plethora of draft picks, including their 2022, 2023, and 2024 first rounders, to Houston for Watson. Not only that, Watson received a fully guaranteed five-year $230 million contract. It has since gone down as one of the worst trades in NFL history.

Since joining Cleveland, Watson has played in just 19 of a possible 51 games. He has completed just 61.7% of his passes for 3,365 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions during that time.

Despite the controversy that has surrounded him, and the injuries that have plagued him, Watson has continued to try and live a normal life. He has been dating Jilly Anais, a singer and social media influencer, for years now.

The couple recently announced that they are getting married, and fans from all fanbases all made similar comments regarding the news:

Did he meet her at a massage parlor? 😂 https://t.co/dfZ4n4XTak

    — Brian 🇺🇸 (@BuccoBrigade1) May 15, 2025

As one can see, many of the comments involve insinuations regarding massage parlors. One thing is for sure, that is one thing that Watson is never going to shake.

    Nor should he.
