The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to take that next step as a team after signing quarterback Aaron Rodgers, as the team is looking to get its first playoff win since Jan. 15, 2017, when they won in the AFC Divisional Round. There is a lot of hype surrounding what the 2025 Pittsburgh Steelers could do, but not everyone is buying into the hype.

In addition to Aaron Rodgers, the Steelers have added wide receiver DK Metcalf and could see some minor additions to the team as well. Let’s take a look at how one NFL analyst is not feeling as positive about the 2025 Steelers with Rodgers under center.

During a recent appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show“, NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah discussed how he is not buying into the Pittsburgh Steelers being much of a playoff threat with Aaron Rodgers now leading the offense.

“I just think talent-wise, Rodgers, even at this point in the very end of his career, he’s still more talented than what they ran out there last year. To me, I think you upgraded in talent, and I like the fact this is not an Aaron Rodgers-led organization in terms of the offense they’re running and the players they’ve brought in.”

“The Steelers never have losing seasons. I don’t think it’s very controversial to say this is going to be a 10-win team. It just feels like they’re going to be a good team, they’re going to be in the playoffs, but he’s not good enough, nor is the roster good enough for them to do a lot of damage in the postseason.”

The Steelers have a lot of talent throughout their roster, but it is going to be difficult to see everything get glued together. With the potential clashing of coach Mike Tomlin and quarterback Aaron Rodgers, it will be interesting to see how things unfold for the Black and Yellow.
