New York Jets Defense
The New York Jets’ defense ranked tenth in opponents’ points allowed, second in opponents’ yards per game, and 11th in opponents’ yards per rush. C.J. Mosley is a large part of why.
In the past two seasons, the Jets have ranked among the top 12 NFL defenses in total points against.

This is one of the few “moves” the Jets have made this offseason to help bolster their defense. The Jets have also agreed to terms with cornerback Isaiah Oliver. Oliver played for defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich with the Atlanta Falcons. He adds depth and versatility to the defense.
Oliver’s comments on joining the Jets: “I think the main reason I wanted to sign here comes from watching the Jets over the past few years, and I saw the change in culture and change in defense, specifically with [HC Robert] Saleh and Ulbrich coming there,” Oliver said. I love the way they play the game; it is intriguing and something I want to be a part of.”
A large part of that culture is Mosley. We shall see if the Jets’ defense continues to perform in 2024. A healthy Aaron Rodgers on offense should help relieve some pressure for the defense to perform.
