The New York Jets traded for Haason Reddick during the offseason from the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the Jets didn’t sign Reddick to a contract extension and he decided to miss some games during the 2024 season because of the holdout.
Hasson Reddick eventually showed up for the Jets, but it was too late for them to salvage anything. New York finished with a 5-12 record this past season. It is more than likely that the 30-year-old will sign with a different team this offseason.

“Reddick surely did not help his value last season, when he was traded from the Eagles to the Jets, then held out until late October — and made little to no impact once he did show up, generating one sack and 14 tackles in 10 games with Gang Green. He broke a streak of four consecutive campaigns with 11-plus sacks. Reddick’s 2024 decisions seemed perplexing from the outside, and the 30-year-old probably doesn’t have the market right now to get the payday he sought last year. But he could be a good gun for hire in the right defense on a one-year pact. I’m willing to bet he didn’t forget how to rush the passer.”
Reddick is 30 years old. Last season with the Jets, he recorded 14 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and one pass deflection. Had Haason Reddick not held out, he would have had much better numbers during the 2024 NFL season with the New York Jets.
Potential Destinations
Reddick could be a cheaper alternative for both teams rather than trying to trade for Maxx Crosby, Myles Garrett, or somebody else. However, there could be some other teams who might get desperate and overpay for Reddick, but that probably may not happen also.
