New York Jets: NFL Analyst Lists Aaron Rodgers As a Player Who’s Under Pressure In 2024

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is one of the most polarizing players in the NFL entering the 2024 season. Rodgers only played in four snaps last season against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1 of the 2023 season. He tore his Achilles and was done for the season.

The Jets season after that game was very bumpy. It has been a long time since they have reached the postseason. New York has not made it since the 2010 season. They lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game that season.

Aaron Rodgers spent his entire career with the Green Bay Packers before coming to the Jets via trade. When Rodgers was sidelined last season, Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle started in games for New York. This year, Tyrod Taylor is the backup quarterback for the New York Jets.

Pro Football Network’s Nick Faria Lists New York Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Under Pressure To Perform This Season

Florham Park, NJ — July 27, 2024 — Quarterback, Aaron Rodgers during the New York Jets training camp this morning.

Pro Football Network’s Nick Faria wrote an article about five different players on the New York Jets roster who are under pressure to perform this season. One of those players who he thinks is under pressure to perform this season is Aaron Rodgers. Faria said:

“Aaron Rodgers has done it all in his NFL career. So why is he under any sort of pressure at this point?

The reality is, he’s trying to prove millions of people wrong.

Rodgers is not only trying to prove that he can still be an elite quarterback at 40 years old, but doing so immediately following a season-ending torn Achilles suffered in the opening week of the regular season last year. Taking charge of a snake-bitten franchise like the Jets adds even more pressure on a quarterback.

For the four-time NFL MVP, numbers won’t be the only thing he needs to put up. This Jets team has been devoid of a franchise quarterback who can win playoff games on their own for decades. A Super Bowl is the only thing worth comparing to right now for the former Packer.

And for that reason, he is the player under the most pressure in 2024.”

Aaron Rodgers is trying to win another Super Bowl in his NFL career before he retires. Rodgers wants to win another Super Bowl with another team like Tom Brady did when he left the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Aaron Rodgers is 40 years old.

If another major injury hits him this season, it could be the end of the road for him. It would be typical New York Jets to not make the playoffs again this season.
