New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is preparing for another NFL season after his season ended abruptly last season against the Buffalo Bills after just four plays. The Jets were in the Super Bowl bubble when they acquired him from the Green Bay Packers last offseason, but it all popped when he was injured.
This year, Aaron Rodgers hopes to make an impact with the Jets. He was in the news for a lot of reasons in the offseason. The Jets have the longest playoff drought in the NFL and they have not made it since the 2010 season. New York made it to the AFC Championship Game that season, where they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers. It has been a very long road for this fanbase ever since.
The Jets have a lot of talent on the roster. Are some players on this roster hall-of-fame worthy one day like cornerback Sauce Gardner and wide receiver Garrett Wilson? It will be interesting to see down the road.
NFL Analyst Thinks That New York Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Is the Best Candidate On The Roster To Wind Up in Canton, Ohio
Anthony DiBona of Pro Football Network made a list of each player on every NFL team who has the best chance to wind up in Canton, Ogio. He thinks the one player on the Jets who will wind up there is Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers. DiBona said:
“Similar to Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers is a lock to be enshrined in the Hall of Fame once he retires. Rodgers is currently fifth all-time in passing touchdowns and ninth in yards. The four-time NFL MVP has all of the accolades and more to become a first-ballot Hall of Famer once he calls it a career.”
Before coming to New York, Rodgers spent his entire NFL career with the Green Bay Packers. He only won one Super Bowl Title with the Green Bay Packers. What he wants to do before he retires is win another Super Bowl title with a different team like when Tom Brady left the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It would silence a lot of his doubters. The Jets have an elite defense this season and also did last year.
What has been absurd about Rodgers’s career is that he has thrown for 475 touchdown passes and only 105 interceptions. The touchdown to interception ratio is utterly ridiculous. We will see what the 40-year-old quarterback could do this season. He has also completed 65.3% of his passes in his NFL career. If Rodgers stays healthy this season, there is no doubt he can eclipse the 500 career touchdowns total.
