The New York Giants will be featured on an offseason edition of Hard Knocks starting Tuesday, July 2. This has a lot of Giants fans excited and nervous to see what went down during the offseason. There were some things that this fanbase wanted to happen this offseason.
One of the things that the New York Giants fanbase wanted was for them to move off of quarterback Daniel Jones this offseason. However, he will be the starting quarterback most likely this year and will be entering his sixth NFL season.

Drew Lock, the backup quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks quarterback last season, was signed as a free agent this offseason. The New York Giants fanbase will have a lot of questions answered next week after the trailer preview.

The First Burning Question Is What Did the Atlanta Falcons Want To Draft At the 6th Pick With the New York Giants?

In the trailer, one of the more interesting things was the Atlanta Falcons called New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen for the sixth pick. The question is, who did Atlanta want to take with that pick? Everyone knows that the Falcons selected quarterback Michael Penix Jr. with the eighth overall selection.
It was a head-scratcher because they signed quarterback Kirk Cousins earlier in the NFL offseason. The New York Giants kept the sixth overall pick and decided to take wide receiver Malik Nabers from LSU.
The Second Burning Question Is What Went Behind the Scenes When Trying to Trade For Carolina Panthers EDGE Rusher Brian Burns?

During the NFL Draft combine, New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen was talking to head coach Brian Daboll about the possibility of trading for Carolina Panthers edge rusher Brian Burns. Burns was rumored in previous trade talks before landing with the New York Giants in the offseason.
Joe Schoen said in the trailer:
“We would have to trade, like, two twos, and then you have to pay him 28, 29 million.”
The Giants did not have to give up two second-round picks in the trade. They gave up one of their second-round selections in the 2024 NFL Draft to acquire him. Brian Burns did get a lengthy contract extension from New York after the trade to bolster the defense.
The Third Burning Question Is How Painful Was Daniel Jones’s Rehab?

Daniel Jones suffered a season-ending Torn ACL injury in Week 9 of the 2023 season against the Las Vegas Raiders. Jones only had 909 yards passing, two touchdowns, and six interceptions last season. He will need to be better this season for the New York Giants.
More importantly, it showed some Daniel Jones rehab during the trailer. How painful was it for him to go through it? He said in the trailer:
“I am five months from the surgery. I’m still progressing that. You know, I’ve gotten hurt, but never like this.”
Daniel Jones had some other neck injuries in the past with the New York Giants. He needs to stay healthy this season.
The Fourth and Final Burning Question Is Did Saquon Barkley Low Ball the New York Giants?

Everyone wants to know what exactly happened between the New York Giants and running back Saquon Barkley. Barkley left the Giants in the offseason and decided to take his talents down I-95 and the New Jersey Turnpike to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A lot of Giants fans were unhappy when he left for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Barkley has barked back at Giants fans on Twitter. He also made a statement in the past about:
“I never got an offer”
This was about how the New York Giants never offered him something. Well, well, well, there might be something on tape here that Saquon Barkley was lying to the media.
Joe Schoen said in the Trailor:
“Saquon, can you give me your word on that, or are you not going to give us a chance?”
The truth is about to be revealed during next week’s Hard Knocks episode. If Saquon Barkley was indeed lying to the media, it is going to rally the New York Giants fanbase even more. The first meeting between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants will be on October 20, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
