New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers returned to action on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles after missing the last two games with a concussion. He caught four passes for 41 yards receiving, but the Giants lost to the Eagles 28-3.

With the loss, New York dropped to 2-5 on the season. Philadelphia improved to 4-2 on the season. There have been many things that have gone wrong with the Giants’ offense this season, but wide receiver Malik Nabers is not one of them.

After the game was over, Nabers spoke to the media. He could have done more damage in the game. Malik Nabers told the media:

“Watch the target tape. That was it. I was open.”

There is no doubt that this was a direct shot at Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. Jones struggles to find the open man down the field. He was benched for Drew Lock on Sunday after Jones only completed 14-of-21 passes for 99 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Daniel Jones also rushed for 20 yards on five carries.

Also, Daniel Jones has not thrown a touchdown pass at home this season. In Year 6 of the Daniel Jones era, it makes people wonder if his career with the team is over.

Malik Nabers is frustrated with the quarterback play and so is the rest of the Giants fanbase. A lot of them show support for Nabers on Twitter. Here is what they had to say on Twitter about it:

Maybe Mara will allow Schoen and Daboll to get rid of Danny. Keep speaking up goat.

I honestly love that he’s calling out Jones here. Hold your QB accountable!

PLEASE get this man a real QB

LET THEM KNOW. QB AINT DOING HIS JOB

Drew Allar will get you the ball next year. #Giants100

    — Neil (@neilbelieves) October 21, 2024

The 2024 season will be a lost season for the Giants. Daniel Jones will not be starting for them much longer. Drew Lock or Tommy DeVito will start some games at some point this season for New York. In the 2025 NFL Draft, the Giants need a real quarterback to get the superstar wide receiver the football.
