The New York Giants finished with a 3-14 record a season ago and there was a lot of regression in the secondary for the Giants. Deonte Banks was the number one cornerback and he showed regression in his second season.

On Monday, New York signed cornerback Paulson Adebo to a three-year deal, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Last season, he was with the New Orleans Saints. PFF said on Twitter,
“Adebo leads the NFL in forced incompletions over the past two seasons
“
New York Giants Fans React To Team Signing Paulson Adebo

The Giants fanbase was relatively happy with signing Adebo to that contract. Adebo is only 25 years old. Last season with the Saints, he recorded 52 tackles, three interceptions, and 10 pass deflections. Paulson Adebo was a lockdown cornerback with New Orleans over the last couple of seasons. This is what one of the Giants fans had to say on Twitter,
“Giants get their CB1
we will see how he recovers coming off injury!”
It will be interesting to see how he does coming off of injury. Another New York Giants fan said,
“Let’s go great signing by the GMEN!”
Another fan said about the signing of Paulson Adebo,
“Giants got a good one, would have made a run at him if I was in Gladstone’s shoes.”
Adebo will be a major upgrade to New York’s secondary. For now, it seems like it was a good signing for general manager Joe Schoen. The quarterback position will be the next critical move for this organization also.
