The New England Patriots had quite a few people in attendance at the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl Practices this past week. Multiple front office personnel, as well as Head Coach Mike Vrabel traveled to Mobile Alabama to watch some of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft. There were quite a few standouts over the week, but which of them could be potential Patriots when the NFL Draft rolls around in April?
Xavier Restrepo, WR, Miami

Xavier Restrepo showed he could be an incredible slot receiver at the NFL level throughout his 2024 season. Many people believed he could be a solid player at the next level, however, over the past week in Mobile, he showed he could be a dangerous weapon for an offense. According to many people in attendance, Restrepo was almost unstoppable. His route running skills, matched up with his solid two hundred pound frame, proved to be a spectacular combo. With Josh McDaniels returning as the Patriots Offensive Coordinator, a reliable slot receiver is sure to be high on the Draft radar, and Restrepo is a name to keep an eye on for New England this off-season.
Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

Aireontae Ersery had some ups and downs throughout the week, but he showed flashes of serious potential. With good coaching and development, Ersery could turn into a franchise left tackle at the next level. At six-feet-six-inches, three hundred and thirty pounds, Ersery has the size to become an anchor for the offensive line for years to come. Left tackle is arguably the biggest need this off-season for the Patriots, and if Ersery falls to New England in Round two, they may strongly consider bringing him to Foxborough.
Ollie Gordon II, RB, Oklahoma State

Ollie Gordon II, had a down year in 2024. However, in 2023, he was considered one of the best players in the country. At six-feet-two-inches, two hundred and twenty five pounds, Gordon has incredible size at the running-back position. Could Mike Vrabel and the Patriots’ staff take a chance on Gordon to try and get him back his 2023 self? If Gordon plays like he did in 2023 at the next level, he could become the steal of the Draft. He has the potential to be an elite power-back, and in a Josh McDaniels offense, he could maximize his potential.
Princely Umanmielen, Edge, Ole Miss

Princely Umanmielen, is a perfect example of, the film doesn’t lie. He didn’t pop as much as people thought he would at Senior Bowl practices. But if you turn on his college tape, it’s easy to see how great of a player he is. His combination of speed and power is truly entertaining to watch. He terrorizes opposing offensive linemen and quarterbacks. He is yet another player that could dominate the NFL with the proper coaching and development. Lucky for the Patriots, they now have Mike Vrabel on staff to help get the best out of a player like Umanmielen. If he falls down Draft boards a bit, the Patriots could get aggressive and move around the board to get themselves a potentially elite pass rusher.
