The New England Patriots are looking to make loud noises in the first season of Mike Vrabel as the franchise’s head coach. The Pats have also added a Super Bowl champion to their defense over the offseason, hoping that he could help New England reclaim its supremacy not just in the AFC East division but in the league as well.
The Patriots inked defensive end Milton Williams to a four-year deal worth $104 million in March – just a month after he won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Williams also seems excited to work with one of the Patriots’ best defensive players in defensive end Keion White, whose five sacks in 2024 were tied with Deatrich Wise Jr. for most on the team.
“Keion White, I see a lot of myself in him,” Williams said during an appearance on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast (h/t Bobby Kownack of NFL.com). “Just how he carries himself, how how he goes about his business, how he works. Similar body type. 6-4, 6-5, 280 (pounds), 290. Fast. Strong. Got everything in the toolbox to really line up wherever, having that versatility to play inside, outside. I pride myself on being able to do the same thing. So, I already told him, like, if we end up on the same side when it’s time to go rush, it’s gonna get nasty. It’s gonna get nasty for sure.”
Milton Williams shores up New England Patriots’ pass rush

Williams will have his hands full in helping cover the hole left by Wise, who signed in the offseason with the Washington Commanders.
With an astounding 90.4 pass rush grade in 2024 from Pro Football Focus, Williams is expected to wreak havoc alongside White for New England, which was last in the league in 2024 with just a 4.99 percent defensive sack rate.
